ECCF supports the new Chrisman Food Pantry.

The ECCF is proud to announce Billy R. Hardas as the newest member of the ECCF Board of Directors.

Billy was born in Kentucky, raised in Germany, completed high school in Vandalia, IL and graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Chemistry. He joined the Navy Nuclear Officer Program, completing two years of needed training. He then served onboard the submarine USS RAY (SSN 653) qualifying as Officer of the Deck in charge of an operational submarine (~$1 billion) and the safety of all onboard (~120 sailors). Following active duty, Billy remained in the Navy Reserve completing 26 years of service including 6 years with the Office of Naval Research. Billy retired from the US Navy in 2010 with the rank of Captain.

In his civilian career, Billy started as an analytical chemist with Dow Chemical in 1988, transitioning to Clinton Laboratories in 2000 and assuming a manager role in 2005. Billy retired from Eli Lilly & Company in 2018.

Billy and his wife Kim raised their family on a small farm SE of Chrisman, IL since 1996, blessed with three grown children, Andy, Allison and Austin. He is the Clerk for the Brouilletts Creek Township and a director for the Illinois Science Olympiad.
