photoContributions can take a multitude of forms, including cash and gifts-in-kind, such as securities, and real estate. Your donating can be a planned gift from a charitable lead trust, or a bequest to the Foundation made through a will, estate plan or insurance policy. Donors may establish particular funds within the Foundation to accomplish a single purpose.

Memorial gifts and bequests are a meaningful way to give tribute to and pay forward a life of giving. The Foundation works in direct communication with benefactors and families to ensure that memorials are used in a way that best represents the life’s interests of those being honored. You may be confident that your bequest or memorial gift will be handled with the same sense of deep regard and accountability that people have come to expect from the Edgar County Community Foundation.

The funds that may be established are:

  • Unrestricted: funds are distributed by the Foundation Board of Directors
  • Field of Interest: funds are distributed in areas designated by the donor
  • Donor Advised: funds are distributed according to donor direction
  • Designated: funds are distributed for the benefit of specific charities
  • Agency Accounts: other foundations collaborating

The Edgar County Community Foundation has over 16 agency accounts to accommodate your support. The accounts cover a wide range of opportunities for donors of good will. If you wish to become a partner with the Edgar County Community Foundation, please contact us for assistance.
